Workshop on Human Resource Development by Sesha Kanthamraju

To be one of the greatest companies in the creative industry, company leaders should be willing to combine companionship and professionalism. There are so many cases in the creative industry where people do not pay respect to one another, which holds the company from moving forward.


It was what Sesha Kanthamraju, Executive Director – Corporate Communication & Citizenship of The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, remarked in front of forty MSV Pictures leaders of management and production divisions on “Workshop on Human Resource Development of Creative Industry”, on November 30th, 2016, in Merapi Merbabu Hotel, Yogyakarta.


     As the core of MSV Pictures business are 2D and 3D animation films, to make a product to be extraordinarily impressive and better than the other ones, all leaders must not criticize the persons but the work itself. Further, to strengthen the bond between leaders and staffs, good communication must be maintained. One of the ways to attempt closeness between all company staffs and leaders is through the so-called flat organization. A flat organization refers to an organization structure with few levels of management between leader and staff level employees. The flat organization observes employees less while promoting their increased involvement in the decision-making process. The materials Sesha delivered was wrapped precisely in the form of communicative games and discussion session which initiated so much excitement of the attendees.
